How do I register for TeamSports 24:7?
The registration process for TeamSports 24:7 is very simple. First, you will need to create a username, full name and provide us with your preferred email address. You must then choose a password - please keep your password and username somewhere safe as you will need these details to login to the site.
We will send you a confirmation email to your chosen email address once you have completed the short registration form. Remember, its free to join!
Please click on the confirmation link in the email so that we can verify your email address.
Once this is complete you will be a verified member of TeamSports 24:7!
Can I register for TeamSports 24:7 using my Facebook ID?
Yes!
We want to make it as simple as possible for players and team organisers to use TeamSports 24:7 so we have integrated our website with Facebook using Facebook Connect.
If you want to sign-up for TeamSports 24:7 using your Facebook login details simply click on the Facebook logo on the homepage or click here to sign up via Facebook now!
I've lost my password... What should I do?
If you have signed up to TeamSports 24:7 and you have lost your password you need to use the lost password function and we will send you a new password via email.
Just click here, then select 'Forgot password', enter your email details and a reset email will appear in your inbox.
How do I complete my user profile once I have signed up?
When you first sign-up to TeamSports 24:7 you will be taken to our user profile landing page - from here you can:
Use the "Go to My Profile" link to access your User Profile. To complete your profile you need to use the "My Settings" link at the top of the page.
Add your mobile number, a short biography, your date of birth and choose an avatar character for your user profile.
You can change these settings at any time by clicking on the My Settings link on your user profile page.
How do I create a team?
You can create a team at any time by going to the 'My Teams' tab once you have logged into TeamSports 24:7.
You can create a new team by clicking on + Create Team as shown in the diagram below:
Simply fill out the details of your team using the form, if someone has already created a team with that name you will be asked to check whether they are your opponents!
So... I have created a team. Now what?
Now it's time to personalise your team page by adding your badge and team photo and inviting all your players and fans to sign-up and join your new team!
You can update your Team Profile, and add photos and badges, using your 'Organiser Settings' function which is found at the top of your Team Profile page.
Once you have added your team badge/photo and team profile you will be asked to invite other players to join the team. You can invite players using their regular email address or by inviting your friends via Facebook!
Its so easy to get all your team mates together on TeamSports 24:7!
All players that sign-up using the invite email, or via Facebook, will automatically be added as players to your new team!
How do I create new fixtures or events for my team?
Login and go to your team profile page, at the top of the page you will find "Add Fixtures / Events" which takes you to the TeamSports 24:7 schedule tool.
Use the tool to create a new fixture or event for your team on TeamSports 24:7.
Create an opponent - or simply choose from a list of opponent teams that have already signed up to TeamSports 24:7
Choose the date and time
Add an address - if you include the Post Code we will automatically add a Google Maps link to your fixture page
Add any notes and comments - such as directions to the pitch or a time to meet (or maybe who is bringing the half-time oranges?!)
Its that easy! If this is a regular Event, such as training, use the 'Repeat Event' button to repeat the event on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
You will then be taken to the fixture page, where you can click on the right side of the page to confirm your availability for the fixture. Once confirmed, your name will appear in the list below your team badge (as shown below):
All you have to do now is contact the rest of your team mates and make sure that they confirm that they are playing!
What if I play in a team, but I do not manage one?
When you register with TeamSports 24:7 you can use our Search facility to find your team.
Just click 'View Team' and then use the 'Join Team' button above the team photo to become a member of that team. Simple!
Once you have joined the team, and been accepted by the Team Organiser, you will receive automatic updates about new fixtures / events and team news. You will also be able to contact your team mates using the messaging system.
Who can view my profile?
If your profile is marked as 'Show profile to anyone', then members and non members will be able to view your profile. But if you want to keep your profile private, just click on 'My Setting', select 'Show profile to contacts only'. This means only other players and the team organiser can view your profile page.
This will mean that only people that you are connected with on Teamsports 24:7 can view your profile.
If you create a team and check the 'Youth Team' box when the team is set-up then the Privacy controls are automatically set to 'Only authorized players and fans can view the team'. These settings can be changed in the Organiser Settings function within the My Teams page.
How do I change my profile picture? (aka avatar)
To update your profile picture, just click on 'My Settings' within your User Profile and browse for a suitable image. We recommend you add a picture of yourself so your friends and team mates can find you easily.
Note: You must be logged in before you can update your profile.
How do I confirm my availability for forthcoming Fixtures and Team Events?
The scheduling tool is one of the key features of TeamSports 24:7 and has been designed to make managing grass-roots sports teams as simple as possible.
When your Team Organiser or Manager creates a new fixture for your team you will receive an automatic email notification and the fixture will be visible on your My Profile page (in the fixtures widget):
Simply click on the football shirt next to the upcoming fixture and your status will change from 'Not Playing' to 'Playing'. When you change your status a message is sent automatically to your Team Manager / Organiser confirming your availability.
You can also confirm your availability from the Team Fixture page - simply click the button on the right to confirm that you will be playing and your name will appear under your team badge!
Can I add Comments on TeamSports 24:7?
Of course you can, the more comments the better!
Anywhere you see the 'Comments' box on the website you can enter a message and post it to the site. Your team mates can then respond to the comment on the wall.
The comments are available on User Profile, Team Profile, Fixture pages and Team News.
You can also leave comments on our blog!
Uploading Photos and Images to Your User and Team Profile
You can add photos to your personal profile and your team pages. The photos can be uploaded directly from your PC or imported from your Facebook profile.
Adding Photos to Your Personal User Profile
From you're My Profile page click the Upload Photos link which is found in 'My Galleries' within your profile. You can also click Add Media at the top of the page:
Use the 'browse' button to choose photos from your PC - you can give each photo a title and a short description
To import photos from Facebook simply click on the 'Upload photos from your Facebook profile' button and you will be able to view and import photos and galleries directly from your Facebook account.
Adding Photos to Your Team Profile
The process for adding photos to your team profile is exactly the same as for adding photos to your User Profile - explained above.
Simply choose Add Media from the top of your Team Profile page in My Teams and you will be taken to the image upload tool.
You will need to create an album for your team
Once the album has been created, you simply follow the same steps as for uploading photos to your user profile
Uploading Videos
If you want to incorporate videos into your User or Team Profile on TeamSports 24:7 you will first need to upload them to YouTube.
Once the video is on YouTube you follow these simple steps to include the video:
Adding Videos to a User Profile: From your My Profile page, click Add Media to get to the Video Upload tool
Add the title of your video and a description and then paste the URL from YouTube into the box provided
Simply click on the 'Upload' button and your YouTube video will automatically be integrated to your User Profile.
To upload YouTube videos to your team profile simply follow the same steps above when accessing 'Add Media' from your Team Profile within My Teams.
Can I send a message to another member?
Yes! Of course you can! But you do have to be team-mates before you can contact them directly.
You can access your Inbox by clicking on the Inbox tab in your user profile page - My Profile. Click on the 'Compose New' message button and you will be taken to the form where you can send messages to one or more of your team mates.
Choose the team you wish to contact as you may be a player in more than one team.
Then select the one or more users you wish to send a message to and write the message in the Message box below - easy!
Your team mates will receive a message in their inbox and they can reply directly to you!
